Do you work on retainer or fixed fee?
Mostly fixed fee. The AI Audit and Ship-It Sprint are fixed-scope, fixed-price engagements — you know the number before we start. The Embedded Fractional CTO track is a capped-hours monthly arrangement, $6K–$25K+, with no open-ended retainer. We bill for shipped work, not hours logged.
What does the $5K–$30K AI Audit actually cover?
Two weeks: a process audit across sales, ops, and CX; a prioritized AI and automation backlog with ROI sizing per opportunity; a reference architecture (Cloudflare-native or not); and a build-buy-partner recommendation. The deliverable is a build plan you can hand to any team — including ours, or someone else entirely.
How long is a Ship-It Sprint?
Four to six weeks to put one production-grade AI agent or automation in production — end to end, from UX through model, orchestration, guardrails, observability, and rollout. You get a 30-day handover window plus the runbook, deploy scripts, and on-call playbook. The outcome is a working system, not a prototype.
Can you work with our existing team and stack?
Yes. We build on your stack when you have one and Cloudflare-native edge when you don't — and the code lands in your repo either way. The point isn't to replace your engineers; it's to ship the thing they're too busy keeping the lights on to build, then hand it back fully documented.
What do your AI consulting services actually include?
Our AI consulting services span the full path to production: an AI Audit that prioritizes opportunities by ROI, AI integration services that wire models and agents into your existing CRM, ops, and data systems, and hands-on AI implementation that ships the agent or automation end to end. You get an AI implementation consultant who writes the code and hands it back documented — not a strategy deck.
What happens after the audit?
You own the plan, with zero obligation to continue. If it makes sense, we move into a Ship-It Sprint to build the highest-ROI item, or an embedded engagement if you need ongoing leadership. Many clients take the audit and build it themselves — that's a legitimate outcome, and the plan is written so they can.
When are we not a fit?
When you want a strategy deck rather than a shipped system; when the work is pure staff augmentation under your direction; or when you need a 40-hour-a-week full-time hire. We also turn down work outside our operator lane. If that's you, we'll say so on the first call and point you somewhere better.
